Protection From Illusion

You must be finding as you grow your time on the internet, that synchronistic videos, ads and images appear on your screen. Are you finding that two posts on your feed create a story that you thread together like beads on a string?

Our minds are always looking for patterns and meaning. In nature, it is easy to see the secondary images in the trees and landscape. I’m interested in AI drawing tools. They seem tend to create faces and patterns. Combined with human imagination, it makes for an intriguing intersection that I am exploring in my artwork.

Here is a fading flower bouquet from today, they have lasted more than two weeks. They seem determined to hold on to projecting their beauty and relevance in the room before tossed onto the compost pile.

So I imported it into a drawing program and made sure I was listening to some meditation commentaries that kept me in a curious and serene mode of expression. I could see how there were images coming out that I could choose which to emphasis and which to transform.

Then, I saw these two figures, as if one was protecting the other from something behind her. Keeping all the chaos at bay and pulling her into a more kind, gentler light.

I liked the feeling of both protecting and being protected. In my meditation practice it has become clear that I can use every aspect of my life as a mirroring, holographic occurrence because I am seeing through my personal filters.
